New Level of Domain Registrars

I have seen the list of registrars that are part of the initial 10 to get started on the new domain for the Internet and while I have done my research on them, I am not sure that this first round will work for me. Although I know very well that the CO Domain Registration will be an important level to add to the Internet I think that I will have to wait another year before I sign up. With that being said is there any information that can be given on who the next set of registrars will be in the coming years?
