Keep Track of Website Conversion Rates From the Beginning
When my brother put his small business online, I suggested that he keep track of the website conversion rate right from the beginning. We met at a small restaurant in Bristol and discussed many ideas on how he could get traffic to his website. Unfortunately, a large amount of website traffic will not do him any good unless a percentage of the visitors are actually buying his products or giving him contact information allowing him to get in touch with them in the future. This is a common misconception of retailers who start a website. Just putting it out there does not mean you will get sales.
